'Among 28 states, Tripura Ranked 2nd Hig | AGARTALA, July 8 (TIWN): Tripura has ranked second in the unemployment rate at 21.3% among the 28 states in India. According to Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy Pvt. Ltd (CMIE), it is Haryana which is having the highest unemployment rate at 33.6%, Tripura Second at 21.3 and Jharkhand is 21.0% that is the 3rd position. Neighboring Assam has the lowest unemployment rate in India that is Assam at 0.6%. Tripura's unemployment rates have been highest throughout the year, although this month, it is at 2nd position with massive surges in Haryana. CMIE said the unemployment rate fell “very sharply†from 23.5 per cent in May 2020 to 11 per cent in June. Sacked 10323 Teacher’s Shop vanda | AGARTALA, July 7 (TIWN): 10323 Teacher's family in South Joy Nagar in Agartala who started a poultry shop after losing job was attacked by miscreants after they denied to give Rs. 50,000 extortion money to them. The attacked former teacher has been identified as Swapan Sarkar. His brother was also physically attacked and his sister-in-law was assaulted. In multiple statements, the Minister recently made it clear that physical attackers can not be arrested. His statement not only sounded irresponsible but a widow woman who was assaulted in broad day light in allegation of being a witch at Champaknagar, has not seen any hope of justice as police did not make any arrest. To Minister Ratanlal Nath, the attackers can be booked but not subjected to be arrested. As a result, BJP’s former senior leader Prasenjit Chakraborty who was leading BJP when Ratanlal Nath was in another party, was recently beaten, hospitalized but no arrests was done in his case.
