Petrol, Diesel Prices continue to Skyroc | AGARTALA, July 6 (TIWN): Along with the national price hikes in fuel, Petrol prices in Agartala have been turning more volatile, as prices of crude oil have been showing a firm trend. Today’s petrol price in Agartala Rs. 80.62 (6th July 2020). Petrol and diesel prices are revised daily. The rupee has also moved lower against the dollar, which has made petrol prices in Agartala more expensive than before. It is hoped that the government can reduce excise duties, so as to enable rates to become more cheaper in the coming days. In such an incident, a woman who was a tumour patient died after 40 days of suffering allegedly due to wrong treatment in Bhoumik Polyclinic and Nursing Home at Kalyani, Agartala. After her operation for long 4 hours, she was announced as critical by the hospital authority. She was then sent to TMC, Hapania for better treatment but could not be saved and the patient party said, since the operation she was critical to her heath and no consciousness she had. The number of Covid-19 cases in the state has increased to 1,534 with one death. Of this, 324 are active cases. "With the return of thousands of natives from different parts of the country, the number of Covid-19 cases has increased," he said.He urged people to give ginger and Tulsi leaves mixed hot water to their parents and aged people at homes.
