| Tripura, 2 NE states received heavy rain | AGARTALA, July 23 (TIWN): Amid the peak of the four-month-long monsoon, five of the eight north-eastern States, including Assam, have received excess rain and the remaining three reported deficiencies. According to the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) scientists, the erratic monsoon is likely to affect both kharif and rabi crops in the region. On 28 Feb, his colleague Kundan Shing Nagi had reported in Bodhjungnagar Police station against Lt Narayan Deb, alleging Narayan Deb attacked upon him. Then he was under trail, jail custody for 42 days.The TSR Jawan named Narayan Deb, resident of Saal Bagan, Hatipara. His dead body was seen hanging at night 3.50 AM. One deceased person is from Melaghar under Sipahijala District and another person is from Kamalpur's Kalachari area under Dhalai district.
