Tripura, 2 NE states received heavy rain | AGARTALA, July 23 (TIWN): Amid the peak of the four-month-long monsoon, five of the eight north-eastern States, including Assam, have received excess rain and the remaining three reported deficiencies. According to the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) scientists, the erratic monsoon is likely to affect both kharif and rabi crops in the region. Today, after commodities arrived in Tripura by road, followed by boarding of them in Chottogram port, Chief Minister Biplab Deb said that it is a historical event. For Chottogram port-route to Tripura, it is however new. The project started in 2016 to benefit the Northeast India. Narayan Deb has suspected for committing suicide out of Frustration, as he was sent to jail in allegation of attacking his colleague. The TSR Jawan committed suicide after he returned from jail where he was for 42 days. On 28 Feb, his colleague Kundan Shing Nagi had reported in Bodhjungnagar Police station against Lt Narayan Deb, alleging Narayan Deb attacked upon him. Then he was under trail, jail custody for 42 days.The TSR Jawan named Narayan Deb, resident of Saal Bagan, Hatipara. His dead body was seen hanging at night 3.50 AM. Chief Minister Biplab Deb has confirmed about the 'unfortunate' deaths of two Covid patients. One deceased person is from Melaghar under Sipahijala District and another person is from Kamalpur's Kalachari area under Dhalai district. More 202 cases have been freshly added to COVID-19 positive row in state."200 People found COVID-19 POSITIVE out of 4747 samples tested. 25 flight passengers, 3 were in contact of COVID-19 POSITIVE, 2 HCW, 2 No history, 3 from Containment zone, 6 were symptomatic,161 detected POSITIVE in Antigen Test.
