Whereas it is mandatory to inform about changes at least 48 hours prior to the program, Tripura police cancelled TMC General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee's rally in front of Rabindra Bhavan a day before its scheduled time. Giving the excuse of law and order and Covid protocols, the TMC members were stopped from arranging for tomorrow's rally in front of Rabindra Bhavan on Saturday afternoon. Over 30% DA loss for Tripura Govt Employ | AGARTALA, Oct 30 (TIWN): Frustrations have gripped Tripura State Govt employees under the BJP led State Govt who were promised before Election to be given Central Pay Scale under 7th Pay Commission since the first Cabinet meeting in March, 2018. Reportedly, only 3% DA was cleared to the employees of Tripura in the last 3 years whereas the previous Left Govt used to pay at least 7% to 10% of DA per year. Thus, whereas earlier the employees used to get benefits of 25 to 20% DA per year, this time, they are getting only 3% DA for 3 years. Over Hundred CPI-M activists were Arrest | SABROOM, Oct 29 (TIWN): At least 123 CPI-M activists were arrested in Sabroom Kalachara during a road blockade. The blockade was organized on National Highway by CPI-M youth wings and party activists led by Manu 39 MLA Prabhat Choudhury in a protest against increasing fuel prices. The CPI-M MLA slammed the Modi Govt over uncontrolled petrol, diesel price hikes which is leading all commodity prices with heavy hikes. “Economy is collapsing and people’s lives are affected due to the slowdown but amid such a crisis, there is no curb in fuel price raises, rather prices are increasing everyday”, said Prabhat Choudhury. Abhishek Banerjee met hospitalized Maman | CALCUTTA / AGARTALA, Oct 29 (TIWN): TMC General Secretary, MP Abhishek Banerjee met injured Maman Khan who has been undergoing critical condition since was attacked by BJP patronized goons in Amtali of Agartala on 22nd October during a door to door campaigning on behalf of the BJP party.
