AGARTALA, Oct 29 (TIWN): Tripura BJP’s massive infighting continues to break the party. Cracks are developed in all Districts among the BJP organization and today BJP MLA Surajit Datta’s younger brother Tapan Datta has joined Trinamool Congress raising slogan of ‘Ma Mati Manush’. 150 families joined in Trinamool with Tapan Datta and more 30 families also have joined TMC from CM Biplab Deb’s Banamalipur constituency. All the families and voters are from BJP, resigned from the party because of mis-governance and infighting. Talking to media, Tapan Datta said, “I joined BJP with hope of development and also established the party in state but BJP did not value its party workers resulting in massive frustration and infighting”.

“It’s not me but people who have taken the decision to join Trinamool and to bring a reform. That is the reason why I am joining TMC. I believe in 2023 Ma-Mati-Manush Govt led by Mamata Banerjee will be established”, said Datta.

The joining happened amid the majority of the BJP MLAs still in demand of replacement of Biplab Deb from the CM post and maximum BJP MLAs remained cut from BJP’s programmes. Rumours are in air that most of the BJP MLAs will quit the party and might join TMC.
