AGARTALA, Oct 29 (TIWN): A meeting was organized by the Tripura Senior Citizens and Pensioners Association at the Agartala Press Club on Friday. The Senior Citizen and Pensioner association presented various demands and problems at the meeting.
Ranjit Dey, president of the Tripura Senior Citizens 'Pensioners' Association, said the meeting decided to go to the chief minister Biplab Deb to increase their pensions as the Home Guard's pension was Rs 750 and the families are facing difficulties in managing their families with such less amount.
He further said that a committee from the association will move to meet the CM and they are hopeful that this step will bring changes in favour of the home guard and other sector pensioners who has been receiving less pension amount.
