Pohela Boishakh, the Best Day for Bengal | AGARTALA, April 15 (TIWN): From Thursday morning, public rushed to the food markets on the occasion of Pohela Boishakh, a day which marks the Bengali New Year's beginning. From Fish to Sweet, each and every delicious items are readied for the day and this year was no exception. Pohela Boishakh always makes the day wonderful for the foodies as this is the day when kitchens are busy with one after one food items. Social distances in the market although was made mandatory but due to heavy rushes, it was violated in some places. Talking to the sellers they said that chicken (broiler) is at moderate price that is Rs. 150 whereas the local chicken (Deshi) is Rs. 600. 'Misti Mukh' : Sweet Shops loaded with C | AGARTALA, April 15 (TIWN): Agartala sweet shops had witnessed mass demands of sweets on Thursday on the occasion Pohela Boishakh, the new year in Bengali calendar. In this Northeast hilly state Tripura both the Bengali and Indigenous Tiprasa communities celebrate their own New Years and both have own rich cultures and traditions. However, due to COVID-19, restrictions were imposed in various areas, specially marking those area where gathering can occur. When the Election Authority had ensured law and order maintenance, BJP goons in Ratanlal Nath's constituency were allegedly using guns, stone pelting led the TIPRA Motha leaders even unable to move out of the SDM Office. Assam Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in Tr | AGARTALA, April 9 (TIWN): Assam Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday visited Tripura after the Assam Election was ended. He travelled to Udaipur Mata Tripura Sundari temple but faced media questions on 10323 teachers' issues and other issues. Sources said that his visit is to resolve the infighting inside the party. Tripura ADC Poll : 'Election was Rigged | AGARTALA, April 7 (TIWN): Rigging, threats, tyranny can always not win over truth and in Democracy, there is no bigger truth than Public opinion. After By-Polls, Lok Sabha Election in Tripura where BJP gained the majority by vote thefts, rigging, threatening oppositions, forcing them to surrender nominations, this time in ADC Poll, though rigging, intimidation were witnessed but at the same time, public fought back like never before after 3 years of BJP's rule. '30% Income Growth of Tripura Residents | AGARTALA, April 3 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb while addressing in Kanchanpur mentioned that a hike of 30% incomes reported in Tripura as in 2017 the per capita income of people was 1 Lakh 444 rupees and in 2021-22 it has become above 1 lakh 31 thousand. Moreover though 2022 has not been started Biplab Deb said, 'In 2021-22 FY, Tripura People's Income increased 30%'. Biplab Deb who in national media said that Tripura will become a "model state" within three year, today after completion of 3.1 year has said that by 2022 this state will become a model state. Thus, once again the Chief Minister statement remained unmatched with his previous promise. GB hospital which is the biggest Govt hospital in Tripura is also in pathetic shape. Everyday, there are some reports against the service inside the GB hospital. Amid allegations about poor services in CT Scan, X-Ray and other sectors, now another serious report came from the hospital about water crisis problems. It has been known that for around 15 days, the Trauma Centre of GB hospital is undergoing acute water crisis problems. In the bathroom no water has been coming since evening 7 pm yesterday and everyday similar problems are being faced by the patients admitted there.
