Slight down of COVID positive cases in T | AGARTALA, April 27 (TIWN): Tripura has recorded total 98 new COVID cases on Monday, which is little less (2 persons) than the previous day. Yesterday total 100 cases were reported and more than 120 was reported on the day before yesterday. So, there are slight downs in COVID spikes in last 2 days. Mask Enforcement Drives, Awareness Programmes, Night Curfew are continuing in Tripura to Control COVID-19 and the "Free Vaccination" move for 18+ will start from May 1st up to age of 44, but lack of awareness are still being seen. Even CM Biplab Deb yesterday was criticized after he violated social gathering norms. Yesterday, 2 marriage halls were banned for a year after they violated night curfew as well as massive gathering in a marriage programmes after 10 PM when only 20 persons are allowed to join in marriages and no function after 10 pm. Law Minister Ratanlal Nath said that Tripura is highest in vaccination drive as per population. However, it has been reported that a major section of people yet in dilemma to take the vaccine and after taking first dose, for the second dose also many are unwilling to come forward. From May 1st, vaccination drive will start for 18 to 44 years aged people for which Tripura Govt has allocated funds. COVID-19 : Weekly Mask Enforcement Drive | AGARTALA, April 24 (TIWN): Weekly Mask Enforcement drive has been started in Agartala on Saturday morning as a section of the people are still unwilling to wear masks. Everyday there are mask-implementation drives but on Saturday, a special Mask-Enforcement drive is observed and today also it was held. Violators were imposed with fines whereas the Enforcement Dept team when was talking to media said that though after a constant mask drive, people are wearing masks but around 10% people are yet unwilling to wear any mask and actions are underway against them. Tripura right now is under night curfew which starts from 10 pm to morning 5 am along with restrictions have been imposed on gatherings. However, apart from Agartala in other places, specially in rural areas people are much reluctant to wear masks which is a matter of concern when COVID cases and deaths at high.
