AGARTALA, April 25 (TIWN): Education Minister Ratanlal Nath has given an upsetting  reaction to media over the examination postponement decision but said, it was necessitated due to the COVID 19 crisis. Reacting over the postponement, the Minister said, "It has to be remembered that the brilliant students or the students who were prepared for the examinations, wanted to sit in offline examinations but due to the crisis situation, this decision had to be taken". Seeing the seriousness of the COVID-19 outbreak nationally and also in State, Tripura Govt has postponed all examinations including College, University and Schools. The College examinations were scheduled to be held tomorrow in offline mode which had triggered tension, but now the students are relieved as exams are postponed.

Pre-Board examinations were also postponed in this step. This decision was taken amid nationwide numbers of COVID cases' rise and in Tripura protests, demands placed before the Education Dept and the Education Minister for cancellation of offline exams.
