Opposition CPI-M, Congress to launch mas | AGARTALA, June 7 (TIWN): Nationwide Unemployment issue has turned opposition's main issue to scream against the Modi Govt. In Tripura there will be a mass protest rally by CPI-M's youth wing DYFI on June 10. This protest will be held to condemn the government on job-fair blunder, JICA projects Govt temporary employees termination, 10323 etc. At there same time, DYFI National General Secretary Abhoy Mukharjee said, on November 14 a massive protest will be held at New Delhi comprising all state's DYFI activists at New Delhi, under a single question, "Where is my job ?". BJP, IPFT continuous clashes expose â | AGARTALA, June 6 (TIWN): IPFT, BJP's clashes are ongoing in Tripura since 3 months of the BJP-IPFT Govt formation. In a violent attack on Tuesday evening, at least 7 IPFT activists were injured at Birchandra Manu, in Santir Bazar of South Tripura after they were beaten with chains and rods and thick sticks allegedly by BJP activists. Two of the injured persons were referred to GB hospital following the clash. IPFT President NC Debbarma however, didn't place any attacking comment against BJP. Being asked by media, NC Debbarma said, "Let the investigation be completed and who are actually behind such activities let it come out". On the other side, IPFT General secretary Ananata Debbarma said, "This attack was held by newly joined BJP activists from CPI-M to malign BJP. Tripura Congress protests against increa | AGARTALA, June 6 (TIWN): The increasing fuel price, cooking gas prices leading massive protests by the opposition parties and Congress is taking a leading role in it. A protest rally was held today at Agartala by Youth Congress and NSUI, staging further demonstration with cooking gas and banners. On the background of the protest, Tripura Congress leader Gopal Roy suggested BJP led state govt in Tripura to decrease at least 15 % VAT on petrol.Today in Agartala petrol price is Rs. 73.40, whereas on yesterday it was Rs. 73.50. “Right now, 20 % VAT is imposed on petrol and 13.5 % VAT has been imposed upon diesel. So, according to Tripura’s price rate, if 15 % VAT is decreased then only 5 % VAT will stay and 15 rupees will be downed atpetrol price. Then in case of diesel, if 15 % is decreased then only 3.5 % VAT will exist. If Govt takes this action for the welfare of common men it will stable the fuel price, then 15 rupees will be reduced in petrol price. Tripura Govt WARNS legal action against | AGARTALA, June 6 (TIWN): Tripura Director of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Dr Debasish Basu has given a strict warning against the propaganda about rubber and plastic mixed flour and salt. The Director said that protein item gluten are mixed with flour which makes the food item healthy. Basu also said that the rubber mixed salt propaganda is also a lie as Tripura Govt buys those items from a very reliable company which are distributed in various Anganwadi centers and schools for mid-day-meal. He also said, to marginalize the business of the ration shops, such propaganda are spreading by shop-keepers to rise their business. ‘10323 Teachers case’s Next | AGARTALA, June 4 (TIWN): 'Ad-hoc extension' of Tripura's terminated 10,323 teachers case’s final hearing was postponed today at the Supreme Court till July 1st week, 2018. In a telephonic conversation, Tripura Law Secretary Datamohon Jamatia told TIWN, the plea of the state govt was accepted by the Supreme Court today, but seeing the backgrounds of previous hearings and complexity of the case, Supreme Court has postponed the final hearing till July 1st week. The Law Secretary also mentioned, "We told the Supreme Court to extend the ad-hoc job continuation up to 2020, June 30 but no final verdict was given today. The next hearing will be on the 1st week of July, but as the teachers to lose jobs by June 30, Supreme Court has also postponed their termination up to the next hearing. Now we have to wait till July 1st week". 95% SSA teachers failed in NIOS exam ! T | AGARTALA, June 4 (TIWN): With a disappointing note, at least 95 % SSA teachers have failed in the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) examination and many more have shown as absent ! Tensions have gripped the contractual SSA teachers as MHRD had directed to complete the all necessary qualifications of all teachers across the country within March 31st, 2018. Following the unexpected scores in the exams, the teachers have written a letter to the SSA Director. Around 2500 of SSA had appeared for the test under NIOS from Tripura.
