AGARTALA, June 5 (TIWN): BJP, CPI-M both in Tripura have expressed extreme disappointments with European countries alleging those countries are mainly responsible for global warming. Whereas BJP Chief Minister Biplab Deb said, "We worship tree since lakhs of years and example can be cited from house to house Tulsi trees (Holy Basis) worshiping. Whereas now the whole world is celebrating World Environment Day but the first plantation was done by Rabindranath Tagore, not by European countries people". On the other side, CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar said, "We want a strict control over America which tops in CO2 emission causing global warming". However, Bijan Dhar didn't mention that according to 2017's last data it was China to produce highest CO2.
Biplab Deb said, "My father was not a scientist, but he always told me to walk in bare feet on the grass. That time, I didn't realize the dept of his advise, but in reality walking over grass increases the eye-power of humans. No country told India about all those, but since lakhs of years, India had such healthy practices".
"US never tried to decrease the CO2 emission... which is nothing but simply the Dadagiri of America. All the countries of 3rd world need to get together to stop America's Dadagiri and developing country like India which is now under BJP should take initiative for it", Dhar said.
CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar in a press conference at Melarmath party office said, "We celebrate many occasions. But this Environment is also unspared by Politics. Global Warming is destroying the whole world due to US".
"Basically global warming is caused with the Capitalists country's increasing factories to export items in 3rd Worlds as India. But from those factories huge amounts of carbon is being produced and America tops at the second position. Apart from America Germany, Japan are there leading cracks in the ozone layer...", he added.
However, the CPI-M leader did't say India is in 3rd position, whereas China is topping at the rank of carbon production.
Noteworthy, World Health Organization said on the basis of 2018's record, "India should follow China's example and clean up the air in its cities, which are among the world's worst for outdoor pollution. The WHO's database of more than 4,300 cities showed Indian cities such as New Delhi, Varanasi and Patna were among the most polluted, based on the amount of particulate matter under 2.5 micrograms found in every cubic metre of air. Chinese cities such as Xingtai and Shijiazhuang and the Saudi refining hub at Jubail were also highly polluted, but the data for those places was 4-5 years old, and Maria Neira, WHO's head of public health, said China had made big improvements that India should follow.
