Manik Dey’s TRTC buses finally st | AGARTALA, Nov 20 (TIWN): Famously known as former bus-conductor, Tripura Transport Minister Manik Dey has finally paralyzed the TRTC bus services under his 5 years of Transport Minister which earlier used to serve people at very minimum cost. Due to ‘no maintenance’ of those buses, the TRTC service has been fully stopped, which even before 5 years were functioning smoothly. Instead of 30 rupees fare, TRTC took 15 rupees, giving much relaxation to the passengers. But now due to lack of TRTC service, passengers are bound to travel in private buses at the triple cost. TIWN visited the TRTC stand on Monday after much complaints received by the passengers, but it was seen that deplorable shape of TRTC has left almost all the vehicles non-functioning. Asking the drivers, they said State Govt is not helping in maintenance of the buses.
