KAMALPUR, Nov 3 (TIWN): The law and order situation once again came under scanner at Kamalpur. And it happened as the thieves broke into three shops in one night. Usually, police filed a case and started investigation.
After a pause of three to four months, thieves once again came into activity at Kamalpur. Keeping the police in dark, the thieves broke into three shops adjacent to CPI-M Local Committee Office.
The thieves broke into one hardware shop and two fair price shops. This morning, when the owner of the hardware shop came to start his proceedings then the matter of theft got disclosed.
But as the fair price shops used to enjoy weekly closing day on Thursday, hence the matter of theft in fair price shops got disclosed later. However, police filed cases in this regard and started investigation. But yet no clue got in their hands.
The incident created resentment among the locale. Police demanded to continue their patrolling at night. But amidst this so-called patrolling, the incident of theft continued.
Every time police claimed to unearth the real saga behind it and when the burly-burly subsided police also made it a closed chapter. As a result, local people demanded that, police must be stringent enough to completely put a stop on such thefts.
