AGARTALA, Nov 1 (TIWN): Ending the glorious festive month for Bengali population in Tripura, people have been geared up to celebrate the last occasion that is Bhai-Phota.
Every sister in a Hindu Bengali family is praying for the long life of her brother and will mark his forehead with Chandan-Tika, which is believed to save him from every bad shadows in this coming years.
Bhai Phonta is a Bengali Hindu festival, usually celebrated two days after the Kali Puja, where the sisters mark the foreheads of their brothers with sandalwood paste and pray for their safety, well being and success.Both of the siblings exchange gifts and blessings.
