No new Politburo member from Tripura; On | VISAKHAPATNAM / AGARTALA, April 19 (TIWN): As like prior Party Congress meets, in 21st Party Congress, CPI-M central leadership deprived Tripura by not inducting important State leaders like Badal Choudhury, Jiten Chaudhury into Politburo. Many unimportant and nationally unknown leaders like K. Balakrishnan, A.K.Padmanabhan made their entry into coveted 16 member Politburo list. Whereas many nationally important faces of CPI-M like Tripura MP Jiten Chaudhury, who is also member of multiple Parliament Standing Committees was deemed unqualified by CPI-M Kerala Lobby. Manik Sarkar always wanted to remain as the sole ‘king’ of Tripura CPI-M in Politburo so Manik made every effort to make sure that other senior leaders like Badal Chowdhury, Jiten Chaudhury, Bajuban Reang can never make any inroads to Politburo. CPI-M politburo since its inception in India was dominated by Kerala lobby and same repeated in 21st Party Congress too. Prakash Karat never contested a Parliament or State election in his lifetime, same goes for Sitaram Yechury (Yechury chose Rajya Sabha route to Parliament so that no need to contest Lok Sabha elections). Highly unpopular and aged leaders dominating CPI-M's core politics, so future of the party is none other than complete wipe-out from political map. By not giving chance to younger generations in Politburo, CPI-M's power hungry octogenarian leadership pushing party towards the path of destruction. | 20-Apr-2015 |
