Bhowmik arrived at Udaipur in the morning.Ahead of PM Modi's visit a team of 19 SPG officers including AIG SPG Manish Sharma, 17 SPG Officers including one Lady Security Officer, Gautam Sharma, SSO have already arrived in the state. Two more SPG officers will arrive at Agartala on 30th November. SSO Gautam Sharma along with four SPG officers will be in command at the Agartala Airport on the day of PM’s visit. The incident took place at around 3 pm. Ahead of PM visit high alert is on and police patrolling party is searching in every sensitive area. Today at around 3 pm when the patrolling party reached near Jamjuri Bit Office , they found the two youths moving suspiciously with stationery goods in their hands. Out of suspicion police stopped them but the two youths could not give proper response to the police. One dies in Manipur bomb blast : PM Secu | Imphal, Nov 29 (TIWN / IANS) A 10-year-old boy was killed in an explosion in Manipur Saturday, police said. The blast took place a day ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the state."The young boy was standing on a road at Lilong (under Thoubal district) while his mother was collecting some forest products nearby when the bomb exploded, killing him on the spot," a police officer said."The mother immediately rushed the boy to a hospital, where doctors declared him as brought dead," he added. The bomb was reportedly planted by militants. The security forces, including Assam Rifles troopers, led by senior officers have rushed to the spot and launched a combing operation.No militant group has so far claimed responsibility for the blast, police said.Thoubal district is 185 km east of capital city Imphal. 32 militants camps still exist along the | AGARTALA, November 28 (TIWN): 32 militant camps still exist along the Indo-Bangladesh international border, said Inspector General of BSF Tripura frontier B.N. Sharma. Out of the total 32 militant camps, most of them belonging to banned outfits National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT), IG of BSF said. Speaking to the reporters in BSF headquarter at Salbagan, B.N. Sharma said that a total of 64 Border Out Posts (BOP) are present in the state. Out of the 64 Border Outpost BOPs, 22 BOPs are operational at present, he added. The remaining 42 BOP will become operational soon, he added. Most of these hideouts are concentrated at Chittagong Hill Track (CHT) in the neighboring country Bangladesh. The insurgents were using Tripura-Mizoram-Bangladesh tri-junction as corridor, security agencies, including Assam Riffles and Tripura State Riffles (TSR) have been trying hard to stop infiltration of militants from across the border, the IG further mentioned.BSF and district police administration were asked to maintain strict vigil along the border so that militants could not enter into the Indian soil, he added.Tripura also shares 851-km-long border with Bangladesh which constitutes 85 per cent of its total border and out of the 851 km long border with Bangladesh 703 km fencing is already completed and 143 km are still unfenced due to various issues, he mentioned. | 28-Nov-2014 |

After arriving at Agartala, AIG SPG Manish Sharma straightway went to Palatana to oversee the preparations of PM Modi's December 1 visit. From now onwards, till the departure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi from the OTPC plant AIG Manish Sharma will be supervising the security measures in Palatana. Along with Manish Sharma, DIG Southern Range Uttam Kumar Majumder, DM Gomati, SP Gomati, SDPO Udaipur, PWD Chief Engineer (Road & Building) Sunil Bhowmik also visited OTPC this afternoon. They arrived at Palatana sharp at 4.25pm. Earlier at 11.15am SPG AIG Manish Sharma arrived at Agartala Airport by AI-743 flight. Malaria, which claimed nearly a hundred lives during the summer, has returned to the hills of Tripura.
