AGARTALA / PALATANA / UDAIPUR, November 30 (TIWN): The countdown of the high profile visit of PM Narendra Modi has officially begun on Sunday. In the build up to PM Modi's visit on December 1st, police and administration are now busy 24×7. Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan is arriving in the state on Sunday afternoon. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will arrive at around 5pm by an ONGC special flight . Mr Pradhan will be accompanied by Union Petroleum Secretary Sourabh Chanda. Speaking to TIWN over phone, ONGC Tripura Asset Manager V K Mahawar told this correspondent over phone on Saturday night," ONGC CMD D K Sarraf, BHEL CMD P Prasada Rao , Infrastructure Leasing and Financing Services(IL& FS) CMD Shahzaad Dalal, ONGC Full Board of Directors comprising A K Banerjee( Director, Finance), Ashok Verma( Director, Onshore), S Shanker ( Director, T & SS), D D Mishra( Director, HR Division) and T K Sengupta( Director, Offshore) are coming to Agartala Airport by the 10.45am Air India flight. "

Mahawar further said that at Sunday night Power Minister Manik Dey will be hosting the dinner party at the State Guest House 'Sonar Tori' in honour of the Petroleum Minister. 

At around 10.30am on Saturday Power Minister Manik Dey visited the OTPC site and after holding meeting with OTPC MD S K Dubey and other OTPC and BHEL officials Power Minister left the plant and then held a one hour long meeting with the officials of district administration of Gomati, South and Sipahijala in the Conference Room of Gomati Zila Parishad. Throughout Saturday police officials and other administrative officials remained busy in briefing the security rated measures to the police and other central forces officials. Inspector General of Police(Law & Order) Anurag Dhyankar and Deputy Inspector General(Southern Range) Uttam Kumar Majumder were at Udaipur from the early hours of Saturday. IG (L&O) Anurag Dhyankar reviewed the security measures inside the plant and over all preparations in OTPC.

              On Saturday night Chief Secretary G Kameswara Rao told TIWN over phone," Minister of State Power, Energy and Mineral Resources of Banadesh  Nazrul Hamid and Advisor to Banadesh Prime Minister Dr Taufiq Ilahi will be arriving through the Akhaura Check post around 11.30in the morning. I will receive them at the Check post. On Sunday they will stay at the State Guest House and on December 1 they will leave for Palatana. The Bangladesh Minister and Advisor to Prime Minister to Bangladesh may also be accompanied by two or three Joint Secretaries."  A highly placed sources in the State Civil Secretariet informed TIWN that the Bangladeshi delegation have also been invited to attend the dinner party at Sonar Tori.

     Chief Secretary G Kameswara Rao further said," Tomorrow the Trial Run of the Prime Minister's convoy will be held at 2pm. It will be conducted only to check whether the time schedule decided by the security officials regarding the arrival of the PM from the Palatana Helipad to the Venue of the Programme and then departure from the Venue and arrival at the the Helipad ends goes perfect. I myself will arrive Palatana by 1.30pm. " According to TIWN sources the PM's convoy will comprise of 16-17 cars . Apart from the Bullet Proof cars, there will be jammers, PMs Medical Van, ambulance, fire engine and the SPGs cars, the sources adds .

        According to a highly placed sources in the PMO," Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive at Agartala Airport at 1330 HRS by IAF BBJ . PM will take lunch on board. At 1335 HRS PM Modi will depart from Agartala Airport by MI-8/17 Helicopter and will arrive Palatana Helipad at 1400 HRS. And from the Palatana Helipad. At 1410 HRS Prime Minister will dedicate the Unit-II of ONGC Tripura Power Company Ltd(OTPC)'s Unit-II (363.3MW) to the Nation. "

     The sources also added that after the programme PM will leave from the venue of the function the Helicopter of the PM will depart from Palatana and arrive at Agartala Airport at 1550 HRS. According the sources at 1600 HRS Prime Minister Narendra Modi will leave the state by IAF BBJ. The PMO sources also said that the details of the PM programme were communicated to the Chief Secretary, DGP, IGP(Int/Security), Secretary ( GAD/Protocol), DD , SIB and SP (SECURITY) from New Delhi( Director SPG) by AIG SPG Bhupinder Singh on 25th November.

       Ahead of PM Modi's visit a team of 19 SPGs including AIG SPG Manish Sharma, 17 SPG Security Officers along with one Lady Security Officer, Gautam Sharma, SSO are now in the state. Two more SPG officers will arrive at Agartala today. SSO Gautam Sharma along with four SPG officers will be in command at the Agartala Airport on the day of PM visit. And SPG DIG M P Gupta also arrived Agartala on Saturday. Though it was scheduled that the DIG SPG M P Gupta would reach by the morning but due to inclement weather the scheduled landing of the flight was dated three hours. At around 6.30pm SPG DIG arrived at Palatana.

      Meanwhile Tourism Minister Ratan Bhowmik visited OTPC plant on Saturday along with DM and SP Gomati.
