The cough syrup stocks have been suspected to be connected with the Agartala-Kolkata racket. Police have arrested the truck driver and his assistant from the incident spot. The successful operation was conducted by Assam Police on Tuesday afternoon. A 12-wheeler vehicle bearing number WB47-2103 was entering Tripura via Chuaribari whose destination was Agartala. During a routine checkup, police were successful to seize the narcotic items. A huge quantity of escof and phensedyl were seized from the truck.
