AGARTALA, March 14 (TIWN): Tripura opposition leader Jitendra Chowdhury while addressing DYFI, TYF's rally in Agartala on Thursday, alleged that East Tripura constituency BJP candidate Kriti Singh is an inappropriate candidate for the constituency reserved for ST, adding, she has no idea about Tripura’s culture.
Jitendra Chowdhury also labeled Biplab Deb as an outsider, who was sent to Tripura as BJP president in 2016.
“Biplab Deb came to Tripura and ransacked the state. He was so gripped in his vanity that he decided to be the CM for the next many decades and throw CPI-M at an ocean but within a few hours, he lost his position as CM,” said Jitendra Chowdhury.
“Still BJP has to answer, why was Biplab Deb removed from the CM post? J P Nadda should explain it. When Biplab Deb still is an MP for Rajya Sabha, why he is now sent to Lok Sabha. That’s called BJP, who does not believe in democracy,” said Chowdhury.
