AGARTALA, Jly 20 (TIWN): Tripura Doctors demanded separate rooms for in Bhagat Singh COVID-19 Care Centre after Positive Cases rose among Medical Staffs. A deputation was placed to the Medical Superintendent today. Addressing media, the Doctors said, "For last 4 days, our Doctors and Nurses are also being infected in COVID-19 as they are in COVID patients' treatment. We basically discussed, how to develop the things for the medical staffs.As the Doctors are the front line workers in this battle, so we demanded separate rooms for them in the COVID-19 care centres.Almost 12 Doctors are admitted there and we are expecting more positive cases in coming days. But, it was told us that the rooms are already filled. Tripura has reported COVID-19 Positive Cases 2,891 with 1,113 active cases while 1,759 patients have been recovered. Fatalities are at 5.For nurses also, the Doctors have demanded extra facilities as numbers of nurses are too infected in COVID-19.
As no development came after the meeting due to no space in Bhagat Singh Care Centre, the Doctors have now decided to move to higher authority.
