Addressing in a press conference, CPI-M State Secretary Gautam Das said, “This ADC was always target of BJP like other local bodies. By force various members were attacked to quit the post undemocratically from the ADC. The arrest was based on an FIR against him which was politically motivated case under the BJP Govt’s pressure according to the media reports and also legal cell of the opposition CPI-M. Badal Choudhury’s anticipatory bail plea was rejected by District court after a hearing till night 12 O’Clock on 16th October and since then Police continued to raid for Badal Choudhury whereas the Govt suspended huge numbers of Govt officials including police top officials as Badal Choudhury remained untraced. High Court received fresh petition for ' | AGARTALA, Oct 22 (TIWN): CPI-M former Minister, current MLA Badal Choudhury’s anticipatory bail petition was cancelled as Police have shown him "arrested" and thus the total anticipatory bail petition was cancelled as he was shown arrested on yesterday night. Badal Choudhury's one of the top advocates Arindam Bhattacharjee said that a fresh petition has been filed for bail of Badal Choudhury. That application was accepted and next hearing to be pronounced on October 24. But local TV channels are showing that police are trying to drag Badal Choudhury from the ICU in the lower court. Retired PWD Chief Engineer Sunil Bhowmik | AGARTALA, Oct 20 (TIWN): Since the beginning high negligence was alleged with former Chief Engineer Sunil Bhowmik’s health and finally his health deteriorated suddenly and admitted at IGM hospital today. He was in police remand for interrogation. From IGM hospital he was referred to GB hospital but so far police didn’t gave any statement why only at one week his health fall like this ? On 16th October, the Former PWD Chief Engineer Sunil Bhowmik along with other 9 accused persons who were brought from Bishalgarh jail after 8 AM's meal have not provided with food, water till midnight. After petition filed, Judge ordered police (Food inspector) to provide necessary items as Sunil Bhowmik and other accused persons. Sunil Bhowmik is diabetes and high blood pressure patient, but the police officer was going missing for hours. Human Rights activists, Advocates have condemned the brutality of police.
