According to the report, a press conference will be organized at Delhi HQ about Tripura post poll violence at 4 pm today. The press conference will be chaired by Randeep Surjewala, Pawan Khera, Tripura Congress President Pradyot Manikya, Congress senior leader Pijush Biswas. Congress also has called the people, Congress supporters, leaders to donate an amount according to their capacity to the Congress so that the party can help the affected victims. Addressing media, Congress State President Pradyot Manikya who personally donated Rs. 10 lakhs said, aftermath of the Elections in Tripura, we have seen unprecedented violence, a lot of workers, people in general are being attacked, beaten up, the properties is being destroyed, physically attacked and lot of them are in hospitals, their medical bills are escalating and an atmosphere of violence has been created across Tripuraâ€.Three persons have been killed in the post poll violence, over 200 hospitalized, property burning crossed 150 in numbers. Till now mat least three killed, more than two hundred people injured in post poll violence in Tripura. This time, at Khayerpur one 20 years old boy Suman Das was killed in a brutal mob-violence on Sunday evening. The deceased family members and his friends said, inspite of being BJP supporter, his own party friends have killed him. Suman was injured critically at Khayerpur in the presence of his friend and his friend's mother. His friend was also injured and being informed police rushed to the spot and took the injured persons at GB hospital, but in morning Suman died. Already more two died in BJP’s internal clash. Indian LS Election : Nearly 50 per cent | AGARTALA, May 25 (TIWN):The chances of winning for a candidate with declared criminal cases in the Lok Sabha 2019 is 15.5 per cent whereas for a candidate with a clean background, it is 4.7 per cent.This is due to the fact that the 17th Lok Sabha will have close to half of its new Members of Parliament (MPs) with declared criminal cases.Out of the 539 winners analysed in Lok Sabha 2019, 233 MPs have declared criminal cases against themselves. This is an increase of 44 per cent in the number of MPs with declared criminal cases since 2009.Congress MP Dean Kuriakose from Idukki constituency in Kerala has declared 204 criminal cases against himself.
