AGARTALA, Oct 7 (TIWN): A shocking incident of molestation has been reported in Kailashahar's Durga Pur area, where a student was allegedly assaulted by her landlord. The incident has sparked widespread outrage, with the Tripura Motha party demanding immediate action.

The victim, a first-year student at Ramkrishna Mahavidyalaya, alleged that her landlord, Nirmal Bhattacharjee, a government employee, tried to assault her when she was alone at home. She managed to escape and informed her family and friends.

The party has submitted a memorandum to the OC of Kailashahar Women's Police Station, demanding the arrest of the accused and strict punishment. However, despite the complaint being lodged, the police have yet to register a case.
