AGARTALA, Aug 6 (TIWN): Today, August 6, marks Hiroshima Day, commemorating the atomic bombing of Hiroshima by the United States on August 6, 1945, during World War II. The devastating attack claimed thousands of lives and left a lasting impact on the city and its people. The SUCI(C) party observed the day with an anti-war gathering at Battala, paying tribute to the victims and condemning the US imperialism's brutal act.
The party emphasized the relevance of Hiroshima Day in today's world, where the threat of war and violence persists. They highlighted the ongoing atrocities in Gaza, where thousands have been killed, and called upon people to unite against imperialism's sinister designs. The party urged everyone to join hands in demanding peace and condemning the crimes against humanity.
