BJP Minister Ram Prasad Pal sounds ‘Re | AGARTALA, Feb 2 (TIWN): Whether it’s his rebellious attitude against party’s internal politics or an attempt to repair his image in his constituency over last few years’ violence, BJP Minister Ramprasad Pal on Thursday said that he had punished goons of his own party by sending them into jail. “After BJP won, some of the party workers attacked opposition families by entering their houses. I have punished them and sent them to jail. I am considered a neutral leader here and that’s why I believe that the opposition will also vote for me”. It can be mentioned here that once Tripura High Court had summoned Ramprasad Pal over an incident where police took action only against the complainer (victim) based on counter complaint by Ram Prasad Pal’s group, whereas police did not take any action against the accused of Ramprasad Pal’s group. Who can forget about Smriti Irani case who is still holding the Central Ministry but Tripura BJP’s 2023 Chandipur candidate Tinku Roy is in deep trouble as a case would be lodged against him in the High Court for submitting fake High School degree records. Former BJP leader Ranjan Sinha who has quitted BJP and joined Tipra Motha party has filed the case saying, for such a heinous crime 11 years of jail are provisioned. Recently various newspapers in Tripura have published that Tinku Roy’s affidavit submitted to ECI in 2014 added a fake degree of high school.
