The alerts that are going on under Modi Era against the illegal smuggling of cattle have brought some good effects amid massive criticisms from the oppositions. Report from Sonamura says that this year smuggling racket has been downed heavily and also it has eased the cattle prices in local markets. Even the Muslim customers expressed satisfaction with the down of cattle prices due to smuggling deductions. Some more waits, as Indo-Bangla railway | AGARTALA, Aug 30 (TIWN): Works on Indo-Bangla projects are going on in Tripura Part but the Bangladesh side expectedly to be completed by next year December. Thus some more waits as the rail tracks to reach at the functioning level in 2019’s beginning. After a meeting held among the state and central officials, Samarjit Bhowmik (Former Transport Secretary while the project began) told media that as per as India side is concerned works have begun in Tripura side and for Bangladesh side the govt has sought time till 2018 December. “By 2019 January the project most likely to be finished and come under functioningâ€, said Bhowmik. “At the part of the project under Shib Sagar (Bangladesh) they are processing their works very quickly and it is expected that they will start work on it within few monthsâ€, said Bhowmik. However, the project would boost Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Act East' policy. The Indian government has the highest priority to the Agartala-Akhaura railway project that would automatically connect the rail network of both the countries developing the bonding between two countries. Hunger Strike brings Effect : Forest Dep | AGARTALA, Aug 29 (TIWN): Tripura CPI-M Govt is no more taking risks of challenging the demands of the Forest Dept Employees. Whereas since 10-15 years of working the Forest Dept employees had not been regularized even after multiple protests, when the employees sat in ‘Huger-Strike-till-Death’ immediately the state govt has announced to regularize them from Sept-5. Almost a green signal has been given about the 363 employees regularization after 4 hrs they sat in hunger strike. The huger strike started to threaten the Tripura Govt after SSA teachers had continued 7 day long hunger strike in demand of regularization. But when the Forest Dept Employees have been regularized, the SSAs are still deprived. Both of these section of employees (Forest and SSA) claimed that State Govt is hiding various issues and if the state govt wants it can regularize them in a day. Most surprisingly, the in case of SSAs, the Tripura Govt did the most unlawful activity. Exchange of Drug items in Tripura Centra | AGARTALA / BISHALGARH, Aug 29 (TIWN): Convicted in ATM loot Parimal Saha has been found receiving various drug items and blades from his brother in central jail. The incident came in notice through CCTV camera of the jail when criminal Parimal Saha was meeting with his family members Dibakar Debnath and his mother. During the talks the exchange of drugs came in the picture of the jail CCTV footage. Getting informed IG Prison Prabir Pal, SP Sepahijala Sudipta Das rushed to the spot. Parimal Saha was accordingly arrested with tablets, brown sugar packet, Jira (one kind of drug), blade etc was found.
