AGARTALA, Aug 28 (TIWN): On August 7, SSA teachers had withdrawn their hunger strike with the intervene of Governor Tathagata Roy after continuing 7 day long hunger strike in demand of regularization.

A representative team had visited the teachers on Aug-7 at Orient Chowmuhani where the teachers sai in hunger strike since Aug-1^st and after meeting the teachers decided to withdraw the strike. Tripura University Ex-Vice Chancellor Aurnodoy Saha had given water to the SSA teachers and on behalf of Governor it was said that the matters will be lookied into.

However after more than 20 days have gone there is no development in talks about their regularization. In this situation, the SSA  teachers met the Governor and placed deputation.

According to the teachers , the Tripura Govt has betrayed them by not regularizing them whereas every month since 2010 to 11 has brought regular basis funds in SSA teachers names. In this condition, the SSA teachers have demanded the regularization notice.

Above 30 teachers fall sick during the hunger strike from Aug-1 to Aug 10.
