AGARTALA, Oct 19 (TIWN): Even after FIR was lodged against Abhijit Mitra, no interrogation, no arrest was done by Tripura Police.
In this condition the victim Anindita Bhowmik is to move Supreme Court, a source said.
Dr. Anindita Bhowmik, daughter of renowned advocate Arun Chandra Bhowmik based in Agartala had filed an FIR against Abhijit Mitra of Belonia and Sanjib De of Bamutia with the complaints of abusing her through social media.
Charges of harassment against women was also brought against Abhijit Mitra but as there is no arrest, neither any interrogation.
Tripura police's cyber cell failed to take any action, so the victim may now move to SC which will be a big blow even for the ruling CPI-M as Mitra is a hardcore CPI-M member.
Abhijit Mitra is a Tripura Govt employee, apart from his namesake Govt Job, mainly Abhijit works for CPI-M’s IT cell.
Abhijit Mitra harassed young women on social media by insulting comments and chasing the victims.
Abhijit Mitra’s father Ashok Mitra not only extremely close with Chief Minister Manik Sarkar but Abhijit’s Govt Job was a blessings of Manik Sarkar himself.
