Agartala, June 21 (TIWN): All the headmasters or headmistresses of the school have to play role as a ideal teacher and good administrator for the quality education in the state, said Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar in a Bengali and English text books (Class-XI) release function and workshop on ‘Introduction of New Syllabus at HS level’ at Agartala Town Hall, here today. The workshop was organised by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE).
Two text books; Sahitya Malancha (Bengali) and Langtarai (English) for Class-XI and XII in new syllabus were released by the chief minister- Manik Sarkar. After releasing text books, in his important speech Sarkar said that a good number of difficulties still existing in TBSE. Among them, the key trouble is the lacking of board’s staff, he asserted.
“The percentage of pass in the just announced results of Madhyamik and Higher Secondary examinations- 2014 were not as per the expectation. The school teachers have to be more active to increase the pass percentage. All the teachers have to review the result after every examination for the better quality education”, Sarkar added.
According to the TBSE regulations-2014, the HS course shall consist of two parts; Class-XI and Class-XII. The academic session of HS education shall be started from July 01 to June 30 of the following year unless the state government decides otherwise.
During the book release function and workshop, the president of TBSE- Amitabha Debroy, the secretary of education department- Pradip Chakraborty and many others including head of many schools and institutions remained present.
