AGARTALA, Nov 24 (TIWN): The “Tribal Engineers’ Society, Tripura†has organized a Awareness Camp on 22nd November, 2015 at Girachandrapara under Bhagirath VC, Dumburnagar RD Block on the topic of Health (malaria & diarrhea), Drinking Water & Sanitation sponsored by Tribal Research and Cultural Institute, Govt. of Tripura.
The Girachandrapara habitation is one of the remotest places of Dhalai District of Tripura about 165 km distance from Agartala, where last year malaria outbreak was first initiated and causes death numbers of villagers.
Dr. Kumar Rajib Debbarma, SDMO, Gandacherra Sub Divisional Hospital & Dr. Aman Debbarma have attended as resource persons relating to Health. Similarly, Er. Jiban Debbarma, Executive Engineer, Er. Dinadayal Tripura, AE, Er. Swapan Kalai, AE have attended as resource persons relating to Drinking water & Sanitation.
About 220 Villagers have participated in the Awareness Camp and hundreds of leaflets, 30 nos. Mosquito Nets (Double Size), Soaps, Nail Cutters, Towels and Educational Kids were distributed to the participants and children.
In addition to that after completion of Awareness Camp hundreds of patients were freely distributed with required medicine.
In this camp Er. Amulya Jamatia, President, Er. Jiban Debbarma, Secretary, Er. Surjya Kr. Debbarma, VP, Er. Ritesh Debbarma, Er. N.K. Jamatia, Er. Bishu Debbarma, Er. Samit Debbarma, Er. Bitan Debbarma, Er, Manoj Dhangsu, Er. Pritosh Debbarma etc. were present on behalf of the “Tribal Engineers’ Society, Tripura”.
