SANTIRBAZAR, Nov 21 (TIWN): Muhuripur PHC (Primary Health Care center) is suffering due to staff shortage and presently a single doctor is taking care of the whole PHC. It seems like that the poor hospital infrastructure is not a matter of worry for the Minister of Health and Family Welfare Badal Chowdhury. 50 bedded Muhuripur PHC under Bokafa RD Block, is unable to provide minimum healthcare services to the patients. Unhygienic condition over there is raising a stink within and outside the PHC.
The patients have been facing problems including unavailability of drinking water, dirty atmosphere and inadequate visit of doctors at the Hospital. The medicines, which are being used in prescription by the doctors, often are not found in the Hospital. The patient parties are bound to purchase the prescribed medicine outside the Hospital.
The patients’ parties are in anger as the state government failed to ensure minimum healthcare services to the patients. Many complaints have already done by the patient parties earlier also.
Moreover long queue of patients are often can be seen in the outdoor. The doctors’ attitude like a businessman is a major problem, facing by patients and patient parties. However, the local people have demanded for improvement of hospitality. While talking to TIWN CMO Jagadish Nama told that he already informed State Health Department but till today he did not received any order/instruction.
