Agartala, July 21 (TIWN): In a significant move, the Congress Party has appointed Kabir Ahmad, a prominent leader from Manipur, as the Observer and Incharge of the National Students' Union of India (NSUI) for six states in the Northeast, including Tripura.
Ahmad has also been appointed as the General Secretary of the All India NSUI.
The appointment is expected to revitalize the NSUI in Tripura, which has been without a full-time incharge for a long time. NSUI leaders believe that under Ahmad's leadership, the student organization will regain its momentum and work towards protecting the interests of students in the state.
