AGARTALA, Aug 9 (TIWN): Tripura Congress on Friday paid tribute to freedom fighters on Quit India movement day.
The Congress leaders visited Gandhighat and paid floral tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and the freedom fighters.
“Today is a remarkable day. This is the day when Mahatma Gandhi called for movement against the British,” said Asish Saha, Tripura Congress President.
“Today when the unity and integrity of India at risk, Rahul Gandhi led Bharat Jodo movement is significant,” added Saha.
