Agartala, January 3 (TIWN): Sachindra Lal Singh Memorial six-a-side knockout day-night cricket Tournament was started at Ramthakur puja ground here today.

The tournament has been organized under the supervision of former Pradesh Congress president and MLA Gopal Roy. Altogether 64 teams have registered their names to contest in the tournament. The MLA inaugurated the opening match and delivered his essential speech.

The opening match was played between TPS vs Six Stars. The final match of the tournament will played on January 5.

On the closing ceremony of the tournament, the champion team and runner up team will be awarded with an attractive trophy, cash prize of Rs. 10000 and trophy with cash prize of Rs. 5000 respectively. Besides, prizes will be given to the man of the tournament and other teams and players.
