Udaipur, December 17 (TIWN):People of Laxmipati Pachayat area under Maharani today gheraod the Panchayat Office protesting against the shortage of drinking water.

Today at around 1.30pm more than 200 hundred women of Ward No 1, 2 and 5 gathered in the Panchayat Office Complex and gheraod the Pradhan and other officials. They shouted that,  in spite of repeated complaints  neither Panchayat nor DWS Department took the least initiative to provide regular supply of drinking water. Over the last three months they are suffering from this but no respite till date. 
       Today people lost their patience and protested against this scarcity . Seeing no other alternative Laxmipati Panchayat Jiban Das gave verbal assurance to the people that within 7 days their problem will be solved. But the agitated women did not agreed. Rather they gave an ultimatum that if within 4 days the problem is not solved, they will make even more greater agitation. At 3pm Pradhan Jiban Das further said that Panchayat will do its best to solve the crisis. Then the people withdrew their movement
