AGARTALA, Feb 23 (TIWN): Giving a major shock to the traditional belief the ruling party CPI-M has exposed the reality of IPFT as nothing but a group of terrorists. With the mask of Regional Party the leaders are feeding the terror groups since 2000, when IPFT formed out of surrendered NLFTs, claimed Tripura CPI-M Chief Bijan Dhar. However, question raised why CPI-M never exposed this before. It has been seen CPI-M never supported IPFT, INPT and called them Terrorist backed, but for the first time, CPI-M has opened their mouth and unmasked them. However, CPI-M has bound to expose the facts observing the oppositions increasing secret relation with the regional parties, which not only may kick out CPI-M from the power, but it can also result in massive killing of Bengalis and CPI-M supportive tribals.

The Indigenous Peoples Front of Tripura was formed on June 9, 1997 when the Tripura Hill People's Party (THPP) and Tripura Tribal National Conference (TTNC) merged. Initially the Tripura National Volunteers of Bijoy Hrangkwal was supposed to merge into the IPFT, but they withdrew from the project. Debabrata Koloi, the THPP leader, became the IPFT general secretary.

All the members were more or less nothing but surrendered militants.

However, Bijan Dhar claimed that IPFT is presently receiving much motivations gaining from BJP and TMC and that is the reason they are calling for strike again and again, but the result will be just as it was earlier; spiking up the probabilities of murder, kidnapping and Jungle-raj.

Dhar further commented that when TMC, BJP failed to come in power that picked up people from Jungle.

However, the opposition  claimed that due to CPI-M led long deprivation held in Tripura since decades, the trials are now dividing with regional parties. Question also raised, why CPI-M was silent till day and why just ahead of Election it’s calling for peace, whereas it’s under the rule of CPI-M since 23 yrs the problems were emerging.
