AGARTALA, March 3 (TIWN): Since the Middle-East tension sparked, Tripura petrol, diesel stations are seeing heavy gathering of consumers — due to the panic and rumors generated about fuel shortages.
On Monday, till late night bikers were seen standing in gas stations till late night to fill their bikes’ tankers.
Talking to the consumers, the public expressed their concerns about possible fuel shortage in the state – prompting them to visit gas stations to keep stocks.
Tripura Govt led by Minister for Food and Civil Supplies Sushanta Chowdhury organized a meeting with secretaries and fuel station operators.
“We have already one-month’s stock for fuel in our petrol pumps” said Chowdhury while addressing the media following the meeting. “Also there is no halt in fuel supplies because roads are clear.”
“If anyone attempts to start blackmarketing of oil in the name of Middle-East conflict, strict actions will be taken against them,” said Sushanta Chowdhury.
