4th day of Tripura Assembly begins : revision of past 3 days

AGARTALA, Feb 22 (TIWN): Tripura Assembly day 4 has begun on Wednesday. However, as the budget was already presented on Feb 20 and the Finance Minister had announced about regarding various fund allocation and some other state issues, the Assembly was once again heated up immediately after the session began.

Discussed issued in last 3 days : 

Assembly 1st Day (Feb 17) : MLA Pranjit Singha Roy raised the issue of unemployment and the age limitation of the job unemployed youths. Dibachandra Hrankhol raised the Rose Valley topic and when the investors will get back their money. CPM MLA Lalit Debbarma’s demand  linked with SC / ST fund allocation. 

Assembly 2nd Day  (Feb 20): Assembly 2nd day heated up as opposition alleges CPI-Ms chief involvement in Ganja-business across Tripura. Finance Minister Bhanulal Saha announced the budget. He said regarding treasury, “During 2017-18, computerized Treasury Operation System will be integrated with E-kuber (Core Banking Soultion of RBI) for making direct payment to Payee’s Account’, CM Manik Sarkar said in the Assembly that Geo Tracking will be given focus. Bhnaulal Saha declared about 5 new pension schemes for Folk Artists, Carpenters, Blacksmiths, Potters and Horijons (having no govt employee) belonging to SC, at a monthly rate of Rs. 700/- per beneficiary’. State Finance Minister refused to implement 7th  Pay Commission, proposed revised pay structure within Rs. 600 crores.

Assembly 3rd Day (Feb 21) : Budget effect hits Tripura Assembly 3rd Day as oppositions Congress, Trinamool slam State Govt for depriving Govt Employees. In reply Saha said, “At present the Govt is unable to allocate more than 600 crores and within 600 crores the financial year has to be managed. The demand for the salary and pensioners were Rs. 58.399 crores but it has been allocated Rs. 30,501 crores”. Saha further said that it’s not possible to bear the hiked amount of salary, pension under 4rth Pay Commission.
