AGARTALA, Feb 12 (TIWN): 159 Battalion BSF organized a picnic of SBI Dharmanagar Branch employees and their families comprising of approximately 90 persons.

The picnic was organized to promote tourism in the border areas. BSF is promoting tourism in Tripura which is covered with thick forest and natural beauty. The picnic was organized at the highest point in North Tripura Distt in border areas. 

BSF has facilitated in organizing this event. Sh Sanjoy Bhattacharya, Chief manager SBI main Branch Dharmanagar appreciated the gesture of BSF troops and conveyed vote of thanks to 159 BN BSF for extending the necessary support in organizing this event. 

He further stated that during this trip to border area they have realized that BSF is in real sense a First Line of Defence of Nation. The duties being performed by the BSF troops is tough but troops are so motivated that they accomplish their assigned duties with pride and full of enthusiasm. 

All the member of SBI stated that they are proud of BSF which is protecting International border 24X7X365 manner and keeping it well secured. Besides guarding the International Border, we have also observed that BSF has done various projects and activities in border areas for border population under Civic Action Program and Border Area Development program. 

It was a wonder experience to visit border and memorable event which has left indelible marks on heart of each member of group. We must respect our border guarding forces as they keep us safe and secured at the cost of their personal comfort.
