KAMALPUR, Feb 5 (TIWN): For years together Kumarghat Municipal Council turned into a den of embezzlement and corruption. For the interests of the cadres and party loyal employees, the CPI-M leaders put their consent for each and every illegal activity violating all norms and rules. Recently, another such incident got revealed. Youth TMC State Secretary Rintulal Deb alleged the hypocracy after unearthing the same through RTI filing.

Rintulal alleged that, violating all rules and norms of administration the municipal council gave promotion to a Group D employee to Group C through board meeting. And that employee namely Manmohan Das was promoted due his sincere loyalty to the party. Further, Rintulal alleged that, the authority bought lands for Town Hall and dumping station without involvement of LA Collector. And the leaders pocketed huge money from this buying by producing fabricated figures to the Urban Development department.

 Importantly, to suppress the illegal deeds and purchasing, the authority spent three long months to provide RTI reply. In that case also the norms and directives were violated.
