AGARTALA, Feb 2 (TIWN): On the occasion of Saraswati Puja a housewife was raped by 5 persons among them 3 have been arrested.

The incident held at Agartala, when 5 men took this woman in a vehicles from Radhanagar Motor stand, with the promise of managing a job for her.

She was told to take at Lichu-Bangan, but was forcefully taken to Adarini Tea Garden.

They raped her there and also caused physical injuries too. However, she managed to escape from the spot and ran towards the highway and fortunately she met the public and told them everything.

Getting informed police rushed to the spot.

The 3 arrested men’s are Bapi sarkar, resident of Nandan Nagar, Abhijit Sarkar, resident of Nandan Nagar and Rakesh Debnath.

This woman was also tortured at her law’s house and was staying alone in rent at Motor Stand.

A case has been registered with 11/ 17at Women PS.
