KAMALPUR, DECEMBER 5 (TIWN): Kamalpur would have a theatrical evening on 7th December next. On that evening drama troop Naksha from Kolkata would stage their dramatic monologue on the 150th Birth Anniversery of Binodini titled "Binodini". They would stage the same after the initiative of local socio-cultural drama troop Durbaar.

"Binodini" is a dramatic monologue on the life of famous actress of Kolkata theatre Binodini Dasi. She acted on the stage for 11 years from her age of 12 till 23. Her first stage appearance was "Chaitanyalila" staged on 20th September, 1844.  Famous playwright Girish chandra Ghosh made the character in his drama "Natee Binodini."

On the 150th Birth anniversery of Binodini, drama troop Naksha produced "Binodini". The play was written and directed by Ashis Das. Durbaar hoped that people would enjoy the production.
