AGARTALA, Dec 5 (TIWN): Tripura Forest Minister Naresh Jamatia’s red salute has hit the state, which once again was criticized by the BJP here in a press meet held at BJP Krishnanagar. In the press meet addressed by 3 BJP leaders, it was said "...such a minister who doesn’t know the basic manners should immediately resign from his post. Giving red salute CPI-M has highly insulted the Martyr Chittaranjan Debbarma at Khowai, which is unacceptable". BJP spokes person Mrinal Kanti Deb also raised issue, "...why the Chief Minister doesn’t participate in the funeral procession of any martyr, whereas he was attending other programmes here. However, to save his face, the Chief Minister later meets the martyr families, but why the govt never help financially to the victim families.
Mamata Banerjee ruled West Bengal Govt gives Rs. 2 lakhs to the family, Akhilesh Yadav’s Uttar Pradesh Rs. 25 lakhs, Nitish Kumar’s Bihar Rs. 11.12 lakhs, but although in last 1 week 2 Tripura sons died, but nothing has been given to their families".
"CM said after meeting Satmura's familiy that Shambhu Satmura can be called a ‘Martyr’ as he sacrificed his life while fighting with Pakistan at J&K Battle.... why the CM used “Can Be Called……”,said Deb.
“However, being anti-nationalist is CPI-M’s nature but the way the CM is showing its reactions against the martyrs are really shocking”, claimed Deb.
Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Sunday met the family members of Chittaranjan Debbarma, who was killed in a terror attack on an army camp near Jammu on November 29.
BJP pointed out---'why he visits one day after the funeral and send a careless minister like Naresh Jamatia who comes back giving red salute to the martyr'.
