AGARTALA, Dec 1 (TIWN): Tripura banks yet to begin the proper circulation of 500 rupees notes and all the ATMs are left only with Rs. 2000’s notes, which has generated more cash-crisis in the state. The government of India has taken another sudden decision when the common men here suffering from huge cash-crisis as the banks here are not allegedly circulating 500 rupees fresh notes in Tripura. Reportedly, the petrol pump dealers alleged that they are lacking short notes and it’s not possible for them to exchange everyday money like this and thus the announcement brought a certain relief for the petrol pump dealers. The RBI announced on Thursday that the old notes of Rs 500 would be accepted at petrol pumps and airports till just 2 December, as opposed to 15 December announced earlier. A customer named Subrata Das at Petrol pump said that it would be better if the cashless transaction would begin at Petrol pumps also.

He said it referring the event when CNG stations took the initial step for the cashless economy in Tripura.

But here it’s not possible as none of the petrol pumps here has card payment system. The non-cooperative attitude of the bankers have made such situations more complex. TIWN reported one SBI bankers said that the Rs. 500’s bundles yet to be opened.

However, with the salary coming in hands with Rs. 500, the crisis may end in few days, another banker claimed.

In this situation in every ATMs the cashless condition or only availability of Rs. 2000/ has created more chaos.

Since the day of Rs. 500 and Rs.1000 were withdrawn, the public are facing hardtimes due to the bankers’ attitudes. However, due to high cooperation of few bank-managers some of the banks had really functioned  well, but 90 % banks, especially private banks betrayed the public.

In this situation the sudden decisions taking by the Govt. has created much confusion among the mass about the dry situation the country is passing through.

Although the Minister of state for petroleum and natural gas Dharmendra Pradhan said if the petrol pumps refuse to accept Rs. 1000 and Rs. 500 notes then government would coordinate in the dealings, but the date which was considered for 50days now has come down to Dec 2, which erupted much anger among the common people here.
