Chayanika murder case :  CJM sent 4 accused to 14 days Jail Custody

AGARTALA /KUMARGHAT, Oct 29 (TIWN): Chief Judicial Magistrate cum Civil Judge (Senior Division) Hena Begum on Friday, sent all the four accused persons named Ranabir Das, Archana Malakar, Hrishikesh Deb and Satyaban Deb to 14 days jail custody in connection to the murder case of Chayanika Das in Kumarghat sub-division.

All the four accused persons were produced in the Chief Judicial Magistrate cum Civil Judge (Senior Division) this afternoon and Judge Hena Begum announced to produce the four accused again on November 10 next.

A special Public Prosecutor (PP) has been appointed named Arindam Bhattacharjee and on October 31 next, Test Identification (TI) Parades investigation of Chayanika’s wrist watch will be done.

Ranabir kidnapped Chayanika on October 01, 2015 and took her to Kumarghat where he and another woman named Archana killed her and dumped the body in the septic tank while Hrishikesh was the driver and Satyaban was a helper.

Ranabir works under  Tripura State Rifles (TSR) and Archana is an employee of PWD Dept. at Dharmanagar.
