KAMALPUR, Oct 20 (TIWN): In a bizarre incident four bags of flour and sugar of fair price shop got seized by police from a vehicle acting on a tip-off this morning around 10-30 am from an auto from Manikbhandar area.

After primary investigation, sub-divisional administration put the Kuchainala Pacs of Nagbanshi market under lock and key in this regard. But the investigating team could not tell it for sure yet from where the items were sent.

According to the information, this morning SI Sumanta Bhattcharejee of Kamalpur PS got information that, some public distribution system goods being taken to Manikbhnadar market for sale.

Accordingly, they spread their trap and nabbed an auto with three bags of flour and one bag of sugar. It got revealed that, the items were being brought from Kuchainala PACS at Nagbanshi market.

Accordingly, police informed the matter to the sub-divisional administration. DCM Amitav Chakma and SDC Kamalkanta Debbarma rushed to the PACS.

But as the Manager was away from his house, hence the officials put the PACS under lock and key. They would check the stock register and other documents of the PACS to check if the goods were from this PACS or not.

However, the illegal selling of PDS goods not remained anything new in this sub-division. Sometimes the selling got unearthed. But in maximum cases, the matter remained hidden and public got suffered.
