KAMALPUR, Oct 19 (TIWN): The unnecessary expense of public money and no utilization of it sometimes become evident in this so-called ‘golden era’. Several such occasions can be cited in the state, where crores of rupees get expended for constructions.

But after inauguration those constructions comes to no use for common people. One such construction lies at Salema under Kamalpur sub-division. Not a single vehicle gets parked in that Motor Stand even after more than four months of inauguration.

The motor stand gets inaugurated on 31st march this year. It gets constructed with an amount of 2, 30, 00, 000 rupees funded from RD. Salema Block constructs the motor stand.

During inauguration many hopes and dreams get woven by the guests. The inaugurator MLA Anjan Das sheds many tears of happiness as the motor stand  would bring radical changes in transportation with newer facilities.

But in reality, no vehicle can be parked inside the premise yet. The stand is constructed almost 600 metres away from the market. People usually board the vehicles from the market.

Hence, the vehicles which would be parked there, would get no passenger. Moreover, the passengers would never move backward for boarding the vehicle. Salem is situated on Kamalpur-Ambassa road.

It has no connection with other important inter-district or inter-state road. In this context, the construction remains unnecessary.

The drivers and labourers express their view that, the road never remains so crowded or the vehicles never have so passengers, which they have to wait in the motor stand for boarding vehicles.

In this context, the construction stands as an instance of administrative folly and unnecessary expenses.
