AGARTALA, Oct 18 (TIWN): Negating Manik Sarkar’s all false propaganda, work to begin on the much awaited Rs. 1000 crore’s Indo-Bangla project as a total 8 members' team from Bangladesh have arrived in Tripura & will hold a meeting with Indian representatives at State Guest House on Wednesday 9.30 am, TIWN reported. As per TIWN sources, it has been known that Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Indian Foreign Secretary and as Bangladesh Prime Minister's Advisory Subrata Maitri will lead the teams from both the neighboring countries during the meeting on Wednesday. India will build 15-km railway tracks linking Tripura’s capital Agartala with Bangladesh’s southeastern city of Akhaura, an important railway junction connected to Chittagong port, resource-rich Sylhet and Dhaka.

Modi Govt. had sanctioned Rs 1,000 crores for the mentioned project, which will kick off a connectivity flow between India & Bangladesh & it will be the first step to make Tripura Southeast Asia’s Gateway. DM Milind Ramteke received the delegates at Akhaura Checkpost.

The 15.06 km long tracks with connect Indian Railways with Bangladesh via Akhaura.  In 2 years of Modi Govt Tripura got Broad Gauge, 2 Express Trains and now work on Indo-Bangla project & alternative routes are underway. More projects are in hands as Agartala-Sabroom railway to connect whole Tripura with railway tracks.

NITI Aayog decided to complete the Indo-Bangla project to be completed by December 2017. Earlier it decided to leave the work on Tripura transport dept. but now the full work will be held by Central govt.

However, Lameduck Transport Minister Manik Dey while talking to TIWN over phone on Tuesday said, “I do not have any such information”. Manik Dey’s comment shows how much he keeps interest about Tripura’s connectivity flow. Although NE summit was focused on Connecting Northeast, but when the central govt is taking initiatives, then such attitudes shown by CPI-M Ministers, prove their real intension behind such summits in the name of 'Connectivity'.

Chief Minister Manik Sarkar during Northeast summit while delivering his anti-national speech commenting against Indian Prime Minister said, “His Act East policy is Exploiting Northeast”, but BJP Govt instead of giving importance to his comments, is now busy with its own works & BJP Govt. for the sake of peoples’ welfare has gifted state Tripura with 2nd express train bettering the condition of the present Railway Connectivity.

However, in this regard Manik Sarkar on Monday at Agartala Town Hall during his speech on the ocassion of 97th Foundation Day, said that medias in India are fully controlled by Modi Govt and they will never write against BJP Govt.

However, on the day of the 1st Express train inauguration Suresh Prabhu made some promises and he is one after one fulfilling them. 1) “Tripura Sundari Train is just the beginning, many trains to come in state”---- his words are proving so true,  2)He also said----- “The speed of train would be increased more”-----Prabhu’s that promise also is not false as work to begin on the alternative BG route immediately after the Durga Puja, 3)To provide Tripura with Kolkata-Agartala Express Train--------this dream has been fulfilled on Saturday when at 5.15 AM the Agartala-Sealdah-Kanchajunga express train left for Sealdah station. 4) To connect whole Tripura soon with Southern Tripura, 5) To begin work on Indo-Bangal project soon, 5) He also promised : In 2016-17, the budget for NE Railway will be around Rs. 7,000 crores.

None of his promises are proving as false, as growth & development are really happening in Tripura and this is the Golden Opportunity that  the backward states may come out of their flaws, rather than playing politics & crying over funds.
