AGARTALA, Oct 15 (TIWN): BJP State president Biplab Deb allegedly was attacked by few miscreants who were returning after they immersed the Durga idol at Dasami Ghat. The miscreants attacked him at his Agartala residence in Natunpalli. Allegation has raised that it was not only Biplab Deb who was attacked, but they entering his house, vandalized his home. Immediately his security guard started firing on the air & later police came and control the situation. Biplab Deb's driver was seriously injured by those miscreants. According to Biplab Deb, on last Oct 11 also some miscreants attacked on his car.

On the other hand a person was seriously injured during emersion at Dasamighat. The injured has been identified as Shankar Debnath (46).

It’s worthy to mention here that  although DGP K Nagraj promised to hold the peace during Durga puja, but ultimately clashes, accidents, bloodshed hit Tripura during puja days.A clash held between AMC workers and club members created much tension at Capital City. 6 people seriously injured due to the accident.

A housewife died after a terrible accident led by an overloaded truck. Multiple accidents held during puja.

But in the pre-puja press meet DGP K Nagraj promised this time police will be deployed in various spots and special initiative to be taken to lessen highway risks, but across state many accident cases are coming out.
