Belonia, Oct 14 (TIWN): Muhuri River Dispute issue to proceed without further delay,' home affairs minister Asaduzzaman Khan said while talking to TIWN after he inspected Muhuri River chor. The meandering border river Bangladesh wants the issue to be solved soon, he said.
He also said he had a talk with Indian Minister Rajnath Singh was held over the issue. He also assured that Bangladesh Government is taking immediate steps to settle dispute over a two-kilometer stretch of the international boundary line along the cross-border River Muhuri.
He said the enclaves were exchanged between the two countries with effect from August 1, 2015 under the Mujib-Indira Land Boundary Agreement, bringing an end to the miseries of the people, who lived a confined life for 68 years there.The agreement was now going to be implemented in its entirety with the settlement of the Muhuri Char, Asaduzzaman said.
